Pumpcrete/Modern Crane is a leader in accident prevention in the construction industry. Our goal has always been, and continues to be, providing all staff and associated personnel with a safe and healthy working environment.

Attaining this goal requires a dedication to exceeding The Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects and industry safety standards at every opportunity. To provide direction to all staff members, we have established Safety Policies and Procedures contained within the company Safety Program Manual.

To achieve maximum effectiveness, it is vital that each individual wholeheartedly embrace their respective responsibilities, and actively participate in the initiatives undertaken, as well as those planned for the future.

The goal is ‘zero’ incidents/accidents/injuries and is based on the following principles:

• Safety is the first consideration in everything we do.
• Everyone has the right to a safe environment.
• Everyone is responsible for their own safety and the safety of their co-workers.
• Identification and mitigation of risk is everyone’s responsibility.
• All incidents are preventable.
• All staff must be involved and supportive of the Health and Safety Program and training.
• Working safely is a condition of employment.

It is the responsibility of each and every employee, irrespective of position, to work in a safe manner at all times and to immediately report all unsafe or unhealthy conditions observed so that these conditions, and the factors that contribute to them, can be eliminated from our work environment.

Similarly, it is the responsibility of all supervisory and management personnel to effectively deal with safety issues that are brought to their attention by an employee, and to make every effort to achieve and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all.

Details of Safety Policies and Procedures applicable to this Program are contained within our Safety Program Manual, which is available by personal copy to each staff member.

Through constant vigilance and diligence, we can and will prevent injury and minimize illness to our fellow staff members.
